It has 854 x480 pixels resolution that is very low as compared to 6.0" screen size . It belittle the pixel per inch value and sometimes it did not render display with full zest. But it is not so bad either. You can be happy to watch videos and pictures on this phone with a little compromise on the pixel per inch density.
Its processor is 1.3 Ghz Dual-Core which dose not irritate you much but its low 512MB RAM that is really a misfortune for such a big device. It prominently affect the performance of the handset and you notice it at times while multi-tasking, playing games or working with any heavy application. In our view, it should have minimum 1GB of RAM for fluid performance.
Smart Cover
This Phones comes with a smart cover included in retail package. It is an active cover that made you feel exciting. As it locks the phone and bring a new screen that shows you time, the number of missed calls and messages. When a call comes, you can answer the call from its window and end the call from here. You can stop your alarm through this window. Unfortunately, we did not find an option to change the wallpaper and the look of clock for this window. So you will have to satisfy upon only one wallpaper when your cover is closed.
Noir A400 has no default google keyboard so it lacks "Gesture typing". Hence you will have to rely only on touch typing and it may be an irksome experience for the people who are fond of Gesture typing.
Noir A400 offers and inbuilt "Quick Menu" in shape of a red colored capital "Q" that float on your home screens. We have seen this menu on iPhones and Qtab before this. It is a good feature that offers you quick access to many of apps and you can also lock you screen through this menu. It protect your hardware lock button from excessive presses. Another interesting application that QMobile has given in this set is named as Sketch. It is for drawing and writing with your finger on the screen of this phablet.
This phone has typical Android 4.2 gallery view. There is also an inbuilt picture editor for editing your pics. It has best music player for listening your tracks on this. On the same lines its sound recorder is also well enough. It has 5.0 MP Auto focus camera. You can touch on any point by touch on the screen. It also have smile shot, HDR, Pano rama, ISO, Color effects, white balance control and many other features in camera user interface.

QMobile has presented a mega device this time with an provided an active smart cover with it for easy of usage. NOIR A400 is the very fisrt mobile phone by QMobile that have 6.0" display with FWVGA pixel resolution. It has a Dual-Core processor and it runs on Android 4.2 JellyBean inside it. The retail box of this phone has the usual contents in it except and extra active Smart cover. It actually has two back covers in the retail box, one simple back cover and other back with smart cover embed with . QMobile NOIR A400, 3.5mm headset, 2500mAh battery, charger, data cable, warranty card, QMobile care center card and a user manual are the rest of the things that you will get inside the retail box.

Body, Controls and Display
Noir A400 is completely made by plastic and on the front side it has 6 inches display. Above the display there is placed four things, an ear piece, a notification light, a front and and a sensor. The notification light blink in green when you have a new notification in your phone and it blinks in red color when you are in low battery condition or when you put your phone on charging.
Below the screen there is three typical touch buttons and a microphone are installed. On top side it has 3.5 mm audio jack and charging port. On right side, it has a power button and a volume rocker. Left and bottom sides are empty. On back side, we find a 5 MP camera lens with a flash light, NOIR and QMobile logos and a speaker grill. Its size is big but it does not made you feel irksome when you hold it in hand.

Noir A400 give you as much as 5 home screens and there is no option to add or remove any home screen. It has 4 pre-loaded themes and several nice looking wall papers inbuilt. Its dial pad is quiet large and gives you facility to go to call history and phone book by swyping the screen leftward. Voice quality of this phone during a call is excellent and the location of its mirco phone is also perfect when you hold your phone with your right ear. Its micro phone comes right in front of your mouth. It has nice collection of wallpapers that are adjustable on home screen, lock screen and menu.

Internet surfing on this phone is a good experience and you can enjoy your webs on 6.0 inches screen with ease. It download and handle all the web pages with excellent speed and fluid manner. Its gives a complete new look in calculator, Application manager and File manager.

Battery
Its 2500 mAh battery performs well and remains with you for more than a day on normal usage. It takes 2 and half hours for full charge when you put in on charging.
Conclusion
QMobile has given a slogan "BIG GETS BIGGER" to this phone. No doubt it is the first phone with 6.0" screen in QMobile's portfolio. But 6 inches means not a premium phone, it is a mid range phone in terms of its hardwares. Before this we have seen NOIR V5 that has second largest screen of 5.7 inches after this phone. But NOIR V5 is a premium phone with regard to its specs and hardware. Announcement of first largest phablet by the company is pleasant but if the company had put 1 GB of RAM in this set it would have become much exciting. So first and the prominent drawback of this device is it 512MB ram that is really an obstruction to its way to show efficient performance in multi tasking, heavy games and applications. We hope that we will see same size of devices with better RAM and processing speed by QMobile in near future.
