Archos has launched its new range of tablets Neon earlier this year. It now extends to smartphones with Neon 50 but slightly modified her recipe. It still relies on an attractive price, plus a colorful design with a set of interchangeable covers offered with the smartphone. They are three in number: dark black, sunny yellow and deep blue.
The Archos Neon 50 is otherwise pretty standard. As its name suggests, it features a large 5-inch screen. Entry-level requires, its definition is unfortunately rather modest: 854 x 480 pixels. Appears above Android version 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, powered by a quad-core processor supplied by MediaTek: a 1.3GHz clocked MT6582, which also includes a Mali GPU-400MP2. To accompany it, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory (+ microSD).
Two cameras are present. The first, in the rear, offers a resolution of 5 megapixels for video recording up to 1080p HD. The second, front, is satisfied with a VGA resolution. The list of connectivity is not much more impressive since it includes 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. A 2000 mAh battery runs this beautiful beast of 72.8 x 145 x 9.2 mm for 170 grams anyway.

Microsoft and Wiko in sight
With this Upcoming phones cheap, competitors of French are clearly designated. First, Microsoft and its Lumia 530, an entry-level Windows Phone 8.1 also sold 99$ smartphone. Similarly, Wiko who announced earlier this week on Lenny, a 5-inch device is also covered.
